Jade sweetheart, you are in our Hearts

Happy 17th Birthday in Heaven Sweetheart

we love and miss you so much

Tell me what does it look like in heaven

Is it peaceful, is it free like they say

Does the sun shine bright forever?

Have your fears and your pain gone away

Cause here on earth it feels like

everything, good is missing

since you left,

and here on earth everything’s different,

there's an emptiness,

I hope your dancing in the sky,

and i hope your singing in the angels choir,

and i hope the angels know what they have,

I'll bet it's so nice up in heaven since you arrived,

So tell me what do you do up in heaven,

are your days filled with love and light,

is there music, is there art and invention,

tell me are you happy, are you more alive,

cause here on earth it feels like

everything good is missing

since you left

and here on earth everything's different,

there's an emptiness

oh oh I, I hope your dancing in the sky,

and I hope your singing in the angels choir,

and I hope the angels know what they have,

I'll bet it's so nice up in heaven since you arrived,

I hope your dancing in the sky,

and i hope your singing in the angels choir,

and i hope the angels know what they have,

I'll bet it's so nice up in heaven since you arrived.

Danni and Lizzy 'Dancing In The Sky'

To us you were so special, what

more is there to say? the pain is

still within our hearts as

we think of  you
each day

Silent Grief
Every bereaved parent has one mission in mind: To make sure that every person they come in contact with knows about their child! Bereaved parents need good listeners all of the time!
There is a nagging, gnawing fear that grows into a ball of pain deep inside that makes us worry ourselves sick that people will forget. We're so afraid they will forget our child's smile, our child's laugh, our child's voice. We're so afraid they will forget we ever had a child. Let us tell "the story" -- any time and in any way we want, and for as many times as we feel the need. Why? Because this is all we have left -- to tell the story.

Please, please don't ever take that away from us!

TRIBUTE TO ANGEL JADE and HER FAMILY

The 26th of September,
A day I'll always remember.
My child bleeds close to dying,
This day I'd end crying.
Tears of joy and relief,
With renewed hope and belief.
In a future with my son,
Kyle....the lucky one.

The 26th of September,
A day she'll always remember.
Her child lies dying,
Next to her bed she’s crying.
Letting go saying goodbye,
Allowing her to die.
She saved 4 lives that day,
Gave her own in a selfless way.

The 26th of September,
We'll both remember.
Two moms united,
One gained one forever blighted.
A single child remains,
A donor organ he sustains.
The ultimate gift made,
Thank you Angel Jade.

The 26th of September,
Always remember.
Two sides,
And very long rides.
One mended.....
One ended.....
Life will never be the same,
Her life was not in vain.

Jade's Story

From the moment Jade was born everyone fell in love with her.

Jade brought joy and laughter into our lives. She was the most caring child, always making sure everyone was happy and she had many friends. She was a Barbie girl and loved all things pink with glitter.

Jade was the type of child that would look round a room find the person who was alone or looking sad and make a beeline for them. She wouldn’t leave them until they had joined in with what was going on or at least looked happier.

When I (her Nanny Barbara) had a sad event in my own life she gave me a dolls blanket to keep and cuddle, she said ‘she loved cuddling her blanket every night and it made her feel better so the dolls blanket would do the same for me’ (how sweet is that), I still have it and boy do I need it now.

Jade was also a very independent child; she loved doing things for herself or others, she loved picking out her own clothes, doing her hair or having her own shopping list on a visit to the supermarket. She was the tidiest child I know (not like her mother, sorry Debbie but its true) she couldn’t stand her bedroom being in a mess so when she had to share her room with a younger sister 'Amy'

she turned into a teacher and tried to show her sister how to keep it tidy. Even though we could all see this was a waste of time she never gave up trying (bless her).

Jade was very artistic and also a bit of a perfectionist she was never happier than sitting down with some paper, glue and paints making cards for everyone or pictures to put on the wall.

Every family member and friend has dozens of her artistic works, which we will all keep forever.

Jade loved spending time with her family.

Jade also loved playing with her friends,

dressing up as a princess, going to the park,

Jade enjoyed playing in her garden

or going swimming.

Her last weekend couldn’t have been any happier Jade and her sister spent Friday night with their Nanny Barbara who had just come back from Turkey, they spent the evening belly dancing to the Turkish top 20 records.

On Saturday her Mummy, Nanny and younger sister Amy and some friends went to a pottery café and Jade painted a clay rabbit.

Later everyone went swimming and Jade swam her first length without armbands, she was so proud and wanted everyone to know.

Sunday afternoon 24.09.06 Jade was having a great time playing with her friends and at 4.24 she was run over. We have had the inquest and the 19-year-old driver and his friend said he wasn't speeding. The man next door said his car was in the way! so Jade would not have been able to see what was coming even though she tried (We don’t know why he couldn't moved it or helped her cross the road, or even told her a car was coming?).

We will never really know or understand how something like this could happen but somehow we have got to learn to live with it.

When Jade got to hospital (the staff were wonderful) and following a CT scan later that night, sadly we were told that she was brain stem dead. From that point on our hearts broke and are still broken. Her parents had agreed for her to be an organ donor so she was kept alive on life support for another day, this meant all her family from Canada, Dubai, London and Spain got to the hospital to see her. We all said goodbye at 6.30pm on the 25th September and her life support was switched off at 9.30pm.

We also found out at that time that Jade had a rare blood group, which had been handed down from her mother’s side of the family. This meant that the 2 children and 2 adults who's life's she saved would have died without her help.

Jades story has been told in local and national newspapers and it has been on the television. Her mum Debbie got a petition with 3500 signatures and presented it to the local council to try and get road calming measures put on to the estate where she lives so that it doesn’t happen again. The measures started in 2009 on all the local streets.

We her family feel we will never recover from the loss and the pain of missing her and fact that she was run over and killed in an accident that could have so easily have been prevented. We cry and miss her everyday, even though some good has come out of what happened we would do anything to have her back. Jade was a light in all our lives that has been permanently switch off.

Everyone loved her, over 200 hundred adults and children turned up to say goodbye to her, family members came from Dubai, Canada and Spain.  Friends and neighbours (who are the best) held candle lit vigils outside her house from the night she died until we said goodbye

The street was awash with flowers for 2 weeks after she died.

Jade brought much love and joy into all of our lives we will love, miss and remember her forever.

Jade left us so suddenly, we had no time to tell her how much we love her. She had so much to live for, so much to accomplish, contribute, and enjoy, and she was cheated of that. We always thought that we had more time.

Jade is much loved and missed by her Mother Debbie, her Father John, Amy her younger sister, half brother James, her Nanny Barbara & Granddad Paul. Grandparents Pat & Maureen. Aunts and Uncles plus friends to many to mention

Rest in peace sweetheart. x x x x x x x

*******

When links of life are broken
And a child has to part
There is nothing that will ever heal
A parent’s broken heart.

The moment that we knew you had died,
Our heart split in two,
The one side filled with memories,
The other died with you.

We often lay awake at night,
When the world is fast asleep,
And take a walk down memory lane,
With tears upon our cheek.

Remembering you is easy,
We do it every day,
But missing you is a heartache,
That never goes away.

We hold you tightly within our heart,
And there you will remain,
Life has gone on without you,
But it never will be the same.

For those who still have their children,
Treat them with tender care,
You will never know the emptiness,
As when you turn and they are not there
.

Do not shed tears when I have gone
but smile instead because I have lived.

Do not shut your eyes and pray to God that I’ll come back but open your eyes and see all that
I have left behind.

I know your heart will be empty because you cannot see me but still I want you to be full of the love we shared.

You can turn your back on tomorrow and live only for yesterday or you can be happy for tomorrow because of what happened between us yesterday.

You can remember me and grieve that I have gone or you can cherish my memory and let it live on.

You can cry and lose yourself become distraught
and turn your back on the world
or you can do what I want - smile, wipe away the tears, learn to love again and go on.

I think of you often and make no outward show,
But what it means to lose you,
no one will ever know
You wished no one farewell,
not even said good-bye,
You were gone before I knew it,
and only God knows why.
You are not forgotten
nor will you ever be,
As long as life and memories last,
I will remember thee.
To some you may be forgotten,
to others a part of the past,
But to me who loved you dearly,
your memories will always last.
Nothing can be more beautiful
than the memories I have of you.
To me, you were someone special
God must have thought so too!
If tears could build a staircase
and memories a lane
I would walk all the way to Heaven
and bring you back again

It's lonely here without you
We miss you more each day
For life is not the same to us
  Since you were called away.
To your resting place we visit
    Place flowers there with care
     But no one knows
our heartache,
When we turn and leave you there

                Sisterly Love lasts forever

They say there is a reason,
They say that time will heal,
But neither time nor reason,
Will change the way we feel,
For no-one knows the heartache,
That lies behind our smiles,
No-one knows how many times,
We have broken down and cried,
We want to tell you something,
So there won't be any doubt,
You're so wonderful to think of,
But so hard to be without

Don't tell me that you understand,
Don't tell me that you know
Don't tell me that I will survive
How I will surely grow
Don't come at me with answers
That can only come from me
Don't tell me how my grief will pass
That I will soon be free
Accept me in my ups and downs
I need someone to share
Just hold my hand and let me cry
And say "my friend I care".

How we feel

Please don’t tell us you know how we feel,
Unless you have lost your child too,
Please don’t tell us our broken heart will heal,
Because that is just not true,

Please don’t tell us Jade is in a better place,
Though it is true, we want her here with us,
Don’t tell us someday we will hear her voice,
or even see her face,
Beyond today we cannot see,

Don’t tell us, that it’s now time to move on,
because this we can not do,
don’t tell us to face the fact she has gone,
because denial is something we can’t stop,

Don’t tell us to be thankful for the time we had,
Because we wanted more,
Don’t tell us when we are our old self you will be glad,
we will never be as we was before,

What you can tell us is that you will be here for us,
That you will listen when we talk about Jade,
You can share with us her precious memories,
you can even cry with us for a while,

And please don’t hesitate to say her name.
Because it is something we long to hear,
Please realise that we can never be the same,
but if you stand by us, your friendship we will treasure.

We wish you could come back again
just for a little while,
To see your loving face again,
to see your pretty smile.

To hold you in our arms again,
to sit and stroke your hair,
To creep in your room at night
and see you sleeping there.

To walk to school together,
strolling hand in hand,
Why did you have to go my love,
please help us understand.

I know what you are thinking.
That you have been set free,
But my daily life is planned for four,
I cant get used to three.

We miss you Princess Jade,
The pain is still so raw.
We still sit and wait for you,
To come walking through the door.

Im asking God for just one thing
and will never ask again,
To let our Jade come back home
and stop this awful pain.

Please hear our cries and plea's Dear Lord,
Our worlds' an empty place.
We need to see her smile again,
We need to kiss her face.

The pain we are suffering can only be set free,
The day you hug our Jade and send her back to me.
We will always love you princess,
love Mummy and Daddy xxx

I have a little Granddaughter, who means
the world to me

She's living with the Angels and is as special as can be and even though she's up there, playing in the clouds she's still my precious Granddaughter
and I am so very proud

I know I can not hold her, or bounce her on my knee. But only have to close my eyes, her little face to see. I never will stop missing her and wishing she were here but sometimes I feel, indeed I know
that she is very near

So play happily little Granddaughter,
you will never be forgot

I love you so and always will, though
I miss you such a lot .

I love and miss you my baby girl.

Her legacy
Gift of life

Due to the incredibly brave and generous decision by her parents Jade has saved 4 peoples lives.

A 10 month old baby girl who had Cardiomyopathy and had been ill for the entirety of her short life received Jades heart.

A 17 month old baby boy who had Alpha 1 Anti-Trypsin Deficiency which results in total liver failure received Jades liver.

A 29 year old man received a kidney and a 42 year old received a kidney and pancreas.

Because Jade had a rare blood group these people had little hope of receiving a transplant.

God bless you Jade and your parents for being so brave x
